Cancer Care Ontario is pleased to announce a competition for the Harold E. Johns Studentships in Medical Physics, to be taken in the summer of 2010 (with the exception of University co-op students who may take the studentship in the Fall/Winter).

Aim

To encourage entry into the field of medical physics in oncology.

Qualifications and Basis of Award

Open to undergraduates in physics or related disciplines in a recognized university program, these studentships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement (minimum 2nd class honours standing) and demonstrated interest in the field of medical physics.

Duration

Approximately four (4) months.

Location

Studentships are offered (1 in each of the Regional Cancer Programs (RCPs) located in: Toronto (Odette) and Toronto (PMH), Hamilton, Grand River, Kingston, London, Ottawa, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Durham, Windsor, Newmarket and Peel.

Report

Each student is required to submit a scientific report (up to five pages) outlining his/her studentship experience to the Coordinator Medical Physics Education Programs, Division of Education, Cancer Care Ontario, 620 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2L7.
