The Mississauga Halton Central West Regional Cancer Program oversees the quality and delivery of cancer services for the areas of South Etobicoke, Mississauga, Halton Hills, Oakville, Milton, Georgetown, Bolton, Brampton, Caledon, Dufferin County, Malton, Orangeville, Rexdale, Shelburne and Woodbridge.

About The Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre

Located at Trillium Health Partners’ Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, The Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre is a specialized treatment centre for individuals living with cancer.

Unveiled in 2005, The Cancer Centre is integrated with the comprehensive and world-class oncology program across Trillium Health Partners. The Regional Cancer Centre ensures that each patient is treated with the utmost respect and compassion throughout their cancer journey.

Cancer Care Ontario Regional Vice President, Mississauga Halton Central West Regional Cancer Program

Dr. McFadyen was appointed Regional Vice President in August 2012. He has previously held a variety of leadership positions, most recently as the Vice President of Regional Cancer Services for the Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program and Vice President at Grand River Hospital. He also served as the Medical Director of the Waterloo Wellington Breast Assessment Unit and Medical Director of the Waterloo Wellington Regional Colonoscopy Network. He was instrumental in leading the Surgical Oncology Wait Time Initiative and the establishment of Rapid Diagnostic Units in Waterloo Wellington.

Dr. McFadyen received his MD in 1982 from the University of Calgary and spent a year in general practice before entering the Surgical Training Program at the University of Toronto, receiving his Fellowship in 1988. He holds a Masters of Health Care Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
